Why did you choose to come to Forter?
Mamta: “Forter’s Management team is both visionary and approachable. The broad scope of the role provided a fantastic opportunity to gain new domain and functional expertise, build Forter’s brand from the ground up in Asia-Pacific (APAC) and create a legacy.”
Dena: ”I wanted to work for a company that had a really compelling mission and product. Having been in sales for almost 10 years, working for something you believe in — and believe works — is critical.”
Doriel: “I was entering my second year of university and was looking for a job. I came across a Facebook post in one of the job-seeking groups that said, “would you like to catch online thieves? Talk to us!” It was a young company back then, and I interviewed a week after coming across that.”
What’s your favorite thing about working at Forter?
Mamta: “There are so many things I love about working at Forter, but if I have to choose, it would be my favorite Forter Value, “Courage.” At Forter, we are encouraged to take risks to drive impact. Over the last three years, I’ve tried numerous out-of-the-box ideas, all without the fear of being penalized. As a marketer, I feel liberated and treasure it enormously.”
Dena: “My favorite thing is how supportive the company is in all facets. People across the company take collaboration seriously and are willing to lend a helping hand.”
Doriel: “Working here for so long, what I cherish the most is the fantastic people I have met along the way. I consider a lot of my fellow employees as my brothers and sisters.
What makes Forter unique?
Mamta: “There are so many things that make Forter different, but the company’s transparency is truly unique in my experience. From the day I joined Forter, I have found the management team very candid, open, and transparent about the company’s performance and feedback from the board.”
Dena: “From the top down, there is a sense that the organization cares about its customers and employees. No matter how big or small, every level of our org is willing to help out. From a team member perspective, I’ve seen a real change in how our company operates (based on feedback from employees). It’s great to work somewhere where executives are willing to listen and take action.”
Doriel: “Once you are hired by Forter, you have 100% authority over your area of responsibility. Employees are encouraged to be accountable, and all voices are heard.”
What drives your passion for your work?
Mamta: “I believe in Forter’s vision. Every time we host a customer, whether on or off the record, I hear how Forter’s technology is driving results beyond even their wildest expectations, or how Forter is helping them maximize revenue and reduce losses. I walk away feeling proud, humble, and inspired to do more.”
Dena: “The people and technology motivate me. We have the best technology and really smart and humble people.”
Doriel: “I’m really happy that what I do for a living is doing some good in the world. There’s a lot of misconception about online fraud, but it is important to remember that it is not usually a one-off instance. It is full-on organized crime, and we are helping to fight it.”
How would you describe your team?
Mamta: “I would describe my team as super talented, tenacious, and always willing to go the extra mile to drive better outcomes. We’re constantly willing to experiment, change course and shun mediocrity. We celebrate our successes and learn from our mistakes together.”
Dena: “Dynamic, agile, and fun. Every day there’s a new situation that comes up in our competitive market. Our team has been able to collaborate and use it to our advantage because leadership trusts our judgment on what we put out there. It speaks to how our leadership trusts and empowers the team to do our job.”
Doriel: “My best friends who happen to also be world-class experts in what they do.”
